Open government-- The people have a right to know what is being done by their local officials in relation to the office he or she holds. Fiscal and moral responsibility--The two go hand-in-hand. It's the people's money and the people's public office, and responsibility is key to sound government. Equal representation--The people deserve representation by their elected officials, regardless of social status, party affiliation, financial status, etc.
