Recording Artists Point Of Grace, Nicole C. Mullen
Endorse TiVo KidZone at GMA
Multi-Platinum Artists Tout KidZone’s Powerful Combination of Expert Guidance and Unprecedented Capabilities for Letting Families Control TV Experience

Nashville, TN, (April 4, 2006) – Award-winning and multi-platinum recording artists Point Of Grace and Nicole C. Mullen announced today their strong endorsement of TiVo® KidZone and committed to help spread the word about the new family-friendly service at a series of events across the country that will occur after TiVo KidZone is made available to consumers mid-year.

Endorsements from these award winning artists adds to wide support for TiVo KidZone. Already, some of the nation’s leading family television advocacy organizations -- Parents’ Choice Foundation, Common Sense Media and the Parents Television Council -- have endorsed and announced support for TiVo KidZone and the ability it affords parents to filter television based on their family’s individual values.

“TiVo KidZone is the perfect every-day solution; it gives parents the ultimate control in managing the kinds of programs their children enjoy,” said Shelley Breen of Point Of Grace, at the annual GMA event in Nashville, TN this week. “We support TiVo KidZone wholeheartedly.”

Rather than relying on confusing industry ratings, TiVo KidZone empowers parents to set their own standards using TiVo’s easy user interface and family-friendly technology. With KidZone, parents can set their TiVo® box to record the best programming regardless of when it’s on and store it in the TiVo KidZone section of the box so kids can watch these shows anytime. Parents get a password-protected place to record and watch the programs they feel may not be appropriate for their children to watch.

"Yea TiVo, for finally making a product that makes TV fun and safe for the whole family,” Mullen said. “My kids and I are excited about TiVo KidZone!"

TiVo will be working closely with Point Of Grace and Nicole C. Mullen throughout the year at a series of events to spread the word about the benefits TiVo® KidZone offers both parents and kids. Point Of Grace is sponsoring its fifth conference season of “Girls of Grace,” a series of events that will feature the TiVo DVR and service, and offer discussions about TiVo KidZone. The groups’ “Girls of Grace” events bring together teens to discuss everything from fashion to spirituality.

Mullen will be touring the country throughout the year, performing in concerts from Indianapolis, IN to Philadelphia, PA and is committed to working with TiVo throughout the year to extol the benefits of TiVo KidZone.

“We designed TiVo KidZone to give parents the tools they need to make sure the television that their kids are exposed to reflects their own family values,” said Joe Miller, vice president of sales at TiVo. “We believe the enthusiastic response we’ve gotten from parents, family television advocates and entertainment legends alike, speaks to the fact that we got it right with TiVo KidZone.”

Families across the country will also be learning about TiVo® KidZone as the result of partnerships with leading parenting and family groups. The Parents’ Choice Foundation, the nation's oldest not-for-profit evaluator of children's media and toys, is the most recent organization to endorse TiVo KidZone. Common Sense Media and the Parents Television Council, the two largest grass roots organizations with more than 4 million members between them, have been supporters of TiVo KidZone since the initiative was announced in New York last month.

These groups have worked with TiVo to create entire menus of recommended programming that parents can access with their remote control and simply ask their TiVo DVR to record these recommended lists of family friendly shows. With TiVo KidZone, parents can rest assured their children will be offered only the best, most informative and educational programs available every time they turn on the TV.
