Switchfoot June CCM Cover Story, "Dare You to Move" Named ASCAP's Most Performed Song

Nothing is Sound - Switchfoot

Switchfoot is featured for the first time on CCM Magazine’s cover. In addition to catching up with the band, its music and lowercasepeople.com, front man Jon Foreman answers the question, “Why now? Why do an interview with CCM now?” Check out the compelling cover story in the June issue!

Switchfoot earned a spot on ASCAP's Top 50 list of the Most Performed Songs of 2005 with “Dare You To Move” from their double-platinum 2003 release, The Beautiful Letdown. The band was honored at the 23rd Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards celebration held May 22, 2006 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. Switchfoot, Eurythmics and Papa Roach performed at the event.

Switchfoot’s second annual benefit surfing event, the Switchfoot Bro-Am, returns June 3 to Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, CA. This year’s event benefits Casa de Amparo, an Oceanside organization that since 1978 has provided safe emergency shelter and state-of-the-art treatment and intervention services for abused and neglected children throughout San Diego County.

Ignite Your Faith Magazine’s March/April 2006 reader’s choice awards lauded Nothing Is Sound as the Album of the Year and “Stars” as the Best Song of the Year (Tied with “Lifesong” by Casting Crowns).
