Red Announces Upcoming Tour Plans

(Nashville, Tenn.) July 24, 2006 - Modern rock band Red (Essential Records) has announced its tour plans for late summer / early fall 2006. During the month of August, Red will be hitting the road on the "Accelerate" tour with Decyfer Down and Nevertheless. The tour kicks off Sunday, Aug. 6, in Sacramento, Calif., and will include 14 stops between California, Arizona, Nevada, Montana, Idaho and Oregon. Beginning Sept. 2, Red joins Disciple on the "Still Rising" tour for a 12 date run featuring shows in the same region of the U.S. as the "Accelerate" tour. >From October 25 through November 19, Red will join Kutless on the "Hearts of the Innocent" tour, making stops all the way from Alabama to Minnesota and east to New Hampshire.

(Current dates for the "Accelerate," "Still Rising," and "Hearts of the Innocent" tours are listed below).

After more than 80 concerts to date in 2006, Red is staying busy, already booked well into the month of December. On December 1, 2006, Red will be in Gevelsburg, Germany to perform as part of the Haus Ennepetal-Christmas Rock Night. (Additional dates are currently being booked for Germany and will be announced at a later date).

According to Red guitarist Anthony Armstrong, "We are excited to hit the road full steam ahead and share our music, energy and passion with fans - and to be touring with some of the best bands in Christian music."

Touring heavily across the U.S., Red is quickly gaining fans along the way. The band is serious about the relationships they make at shows and strive to stick around every night until the last person has left the venue.

Bryan Leuenberger, Director of FUEL Operations in Houston, Texas, can't wait to bring Red back for another concert. "We recently had Red out for a large junior high event targeting teens in the community. Students were immediately drawn in and connected to the incredible talent and sound of this group. I was especially pleased with the way the band hung around after the show and signed autographs and took interest with our teens. These guys have a great heart and we can't wait to have them back!"

Musically influenced by artists such as Linkin Park, Chevelle, and Muse, Red brings a unique blend of roiling guitars, epic string arrangements, strong melodies and passionate vocals. The fervor displayed on the band's debut project End of Silence is brought to life when Red takes the stage, creating an experience the audience won't soon forget.

"We never really pay much attention to our opening band, but when Red recently opened two shows in a row for us, we could not ignore them the second night," says Theory of a Dead Man guitarist David Brenner. "Red is so good - we had no choice but to step out from backstage and watch them perform. They were absolutely amazing."

Jason Connor-Flores, a concert promoter in Louisiana agrees. "What can I say about Red that will actually do them justice? It's times like these I find the English language lacking in imagery. On a small church stage, with only a couple of hundred people, I was transported to a ten-thousand seat arena full of screaming fans. That's the kind of show they brought. Red, in my humble opinion, is the best band I have ever seen live. There is no reason why these guys shouldn't be #1 everywhere."

Joey Belville, Event Coordinator / Music Director, Calvary of Albuquerque / KLYT-FM M88 adds, "Red's live show RULES. They were in charge of all rockdom during their last concert in Albuquerque."

The five-member band (Mike Barnes, lead vocals; Anthony Armstrong, guitar; Randy Armstrong, bass; Jasen Rauch, guitar; and Hayden Lamb, drums) released their debut project on Essential Records, End of Silence, on June 6, 2006. The songs on End of Silence deconstruct struggles that listeners face, while painting a picture of redemption in the midst of brokenness. End of Silence was produced by Dove-nominated producer/songwriter Rob Graves and mixed by Ben Grosse (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fuel, Sixpence None the Richer). With currently more than 26,000 fans on MySpace (www.myspace.com/dropofRed), Red makes it a priority to write each and every fan back personally and let them know how much their support is appreciated.
