Out Of Pocket Films Celebrates Upcoming Film Release With A Mission To Inspire, Enrich & Entertain
New York, NY, May 18, 2006 - Out of Pocket Films - based on the Sony Pictures lot in Culver City, CA - celebrates the upcoming film release titled Welcome To Paradise starring Brian Dennehy, Crystal Bernard and Brad Stine. Produced by Patrick Stack of Out of Pocket Films, the movie is set to release later this year.
WELCOME TO PARADISE is an inspirational family story of a preacher who is sent from a big city church to Paradise, a small, rural community that is in desperate need of direction. The fact that the preacher is named Debbie only complicates things. She finds a town that is stuck in complacency as well as a town that turns its back on its neediest neighbors. Debbie begins building a new vision for her congregation and the veil of indifference starts to lift. When the Paradise Church is accidentally burned down, and its charter is in danger of being revoked, the members rally around Debbie and in doing so, realize that a "church" is defined by it's community, not by the four walls that house a Sunday Service. Debbie's kindness and insight bring a blast of fresh air to this out of the way country town. It also brings her a second chance at love.
Stack says, "I have no doubt the message and imagery behind this film will eclipse all of my previous works. I believe this film will impact today's generation as the audience gets on board in finding the light through life's trials. I am so glad to be working with such great talents on a film that doesn't have a car chase, an explosion or anyone getting shot...it's a film I am proud to take my daughters to!"
Patrick Stack (Producer) began his career in show business as an actor and a Stand-Up Comedian. He has appeared in such films as RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD and has appeared in such television shows as "Cheers," "Dynasty," "Greatest American Hero," "Trapper John, MD.," "Hunter," "Golden Girls," and "It's a Living" - which also starred Crystal Bernhard.
Stack's appreciation for the creative process has made Out of Pocket Films a company where new screenwriters with a fresh perspective can help in developing future feature film and television projects based on original ideas.
