Monk & Neagle's “Dancing With The Angels” Hits Top 5
At Christian Radio's AC Format

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – “Dancing With The Angels,” the second single from Trent Monk and Michael Neagle, collectively known as Monk & Neagle, recently hit the Top 5 on R&R’s (Radio and Records) AC (Adult Contemporary) Monitored radio chart as well achieving the #7 position on the CRW (Christian Radio Weekly) AC radio chart. The song is currently in the Top 10 on all four AC Christian radio charts and continues to build momentum in advance of the group’s upcoming tour with best-selling, award-winning group MercyMe and the Gospel Music Associations’ 2004 New Artist of the Year, Jeremy Camp.

Produced by Ed Cash (Amy Grant, Bebo Norman, Chris Tomlin), the ten songs of Monk & Neagle provide acoustic, soulful pop and infectious hooks from start to finish, including “Secret,” “Sweep Me Away,” “Stars Would Fall (I’m Crazy)” in addition to “Dancing With The Angels.”

"I knew the second I heard them play it live for us here at the station, that it was going to be HUGE. Adding ‘Dancing With The Angels’ out of the box was a no-brainer,” said Jeremy Burgess of the The Fish/Sacramento.

“We’re so grateful to everyone at Christian radio,” said Monk. “This is a song that means so much to us and it’s our hope that this it’s an encouragement to people everywhere.” Neagle adds, “This song was born out of some really difficult circumstances, but we feel like it points people to the hope we have in Christ.”

Hailing from Amarillo, Texas, Monk & Neagle met in college and have been close friends for over ten years. Although each had developed individual followings as independent artists, the pair made the decision to travel together as the opening act for fellow Texans Shane and Shane on the group’s 2003 tour. Realizing their chemistry on stage together and their shared artistic vision, Monk & Neagle became a formal duo upon signing with Flicker Records.

Since the release of their self-titled debut earlier this year, Monk & Neagle have maintained a constant touring schedule surrounding, including recently hosting the chapel service for the Indianapolis 500 and performances at several major summer festivals. Additionally, the group spent much of the fall on tour with Dove Award-winner Ginny Owens.
