New York, NY -- September 26, 2005 – Tooth & Nail Records band Kutless raised over $50,000 last night, Sunday, September 25th for Convoy of Hope - benefiting the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The guys and opener Aaron Sprinkle, put on a sold out concert at Rolling Hills Community Church in Tualatin, OR. Over 2,500 people attended the show.

Jeff Swaim, the World Hope Project Director of Convoy of Hope, enthusiastically states, “We will have sent 7 semi trucks of supplies to the Katrina victims. That’s 20 tons of relief supplies. We have already distributed 450 trucks in 4 weeks. We usually contribute 200 trucks in a year.” He was also impressed with Kutless and adds, “These young men are amazing. They are real, loving and compassionate about helping people. They just blew us away. The students and parents were so moved as well. One of the mothers was moved to tears to see her son give up some of his own money. They scored BIG!”

Jon Micah Sumrall, the lead singer of Kutless, was amazed by the show. “Last nights show was amazing. It was one of the most emotional shows we have ever played. It was good to be there with many of the people that have helped and supported us over the years and all the people from our home town. The energy in the crowd was great. Not only were we able to touch the lives of the victims and the people directly affected by the hurricane but I think we were able to touch the lives of the people that were there. It was a very successful evening.”
