(NASHVILLE, TENN.) -- Northern Records recording artist Kevin Max was a guest this week at Graceland, the Memphis, Tennessee home of Elvis Presley. Max and his band stopped by on Wednesday at the invitation of Elvis Presley Enterprises, while en route to Little Rock for the next stop of their Walking the Imposter Tour.

While at Graceland, the band was treated to a private tour of the Graceland mansion, and Kevin was interviewed live on Sirius Satellite Radio's Elvis Radio (Channel 13). Max even posed with a few fans in front of the mansion before departing. Photos from the visit will be posted at the official Elvis Presley website, and featured in the official Elvis email newsletter. Max also plans to post photos and thoughts from his visit on his official website.

"Before there was the voice of John Lennon, Freddie Mercury and Morrissey there was Elvis," declares Max. "I wouldn't be able to fuse rock and roll, gospel and entertainment without his example. It is obvious to me that God had given him a passion for music that still draws at the heart today. It is a privilege to visit whenever I get the chance. Memphis is still the heart of rock and roll and gospel music."

With the groundbreaking group dcTalk, Max sold more than 8 million albums and toured the world, winning countless Dove and Grammy Awards along the way. Now solo, Max is currently in the middle of a 40-city U.S tour promoting his latest release, The Imposter, which released on the Northern Records label in October.

On March 27th, Graceland was designated as a National Historic Landmark during a special ceremony attended by Interior Secretary Gale Norton, Priscilla Presley and Lisa Marie Presley. Fewer than 2,500 historic places carry the title of National Historic Landmark.
