Jars Of Clay Recognized By Gospel Music Association
For Redemption Songes Project

Grammy-Winning Group Receives Four Nods

(Nashville, Tenn.) February 2, 2006 - Nominations were announced yesterday for the 37th Annual GMA Music Awards by the Gospel Music Association (GMA). GRAMMY winning, multi-platinum band Jars of Clay received recognition for its Redemption Songs project, a creative and soul-stirring collection of recordings crafted from ancient 18th century hymn texts and spiritual songs. This project garnered the band a nomination in the Pop/Contemporary Album category.

Furthermore, Jars of Clay also received nods in the Special Event Album category for three separate projects to which they contributed tracks: Come Let Us Adore Him, WoW Christmas Green, and the critically-acclaimed Music Inspired by the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, a companion to the recently Oscar-nominated film. The four individual members of Jars of Clay have also each received nominations for their production work on each of the above mentioned albums.

The Redemption Songs project was also mentioned in the Recorded Music Packaging category. While not an actual nod for the band, the design team of Stephanie McBrayer, Tim Parker and Jimmy Abegg each received nominations.

Since debuting at No. 1 on Nielsen SoundScan, Redemption Songs has produced the No. 1 radio hit "God Will Lift Up Your Head," while reaching No.14 on Apple iTunes' Top 100 Albums chart.

The GMA Music Awards show will be presented on April 5, 2006 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. The awards show will then be televised in national syndication April 15 to May 1, 2006.
