New York, NY – September 13, 2006 – VGR Entertainment/Jordan Entertainment Group artist Izzy is headed to Chicago, IL on September 22nd to not only appear on the WGN morning show in support of his current album In Awe of You, but also to make an appearance at Luther North High School. He will be performing songs from his album during an assembly for 300+ students and faculty. Not only will he be sharing his music, but he will also be speaking to the students about the importance of education and staying away from drugs.

Izzy states, “Growing up for me was awkward, unsettling and even lonely and because of my low self-esteem I was often pressured to explore “alternatives” that my parents forbid but were acceptable to my peers. Once I learned to be comfortable with who I am, and who I’m not… the right choices were easier to make.”

Izzy continues to stay busy promoting his album by touring the U.S. and making scattered appearances with press including his WGN-TV appearance where he will perform and be interviewed. Quoted by the press as being “soulful,” “passionate” and “innovative” he now includes taking these traits to the next generation with a focus on spreading a positive message through his music to the youth.
