HAWK NELSON TAKES FANS OUT TO THE BALLGAME!
FIRST WEEK OF BASEBALL TOUR HITS IT OUT OF THE BALLPARK WITH HOME RUN CROWDS
NASHVILLE, TN...6/19/07...Fan favorite Canadian foursome Hawk Nelson headed out last week for their first baseball park tour hitting the southern Minor League Baseball markets of Mobile, AL, Birmingham, AL, Jackson, TN, and Huntsville, AL selling more than 6,800 tickets in the debut week. On the Hawk Nelson Baseball Tour, the band performs a full concert either before or after the baseball game playing to fans who have purchased a concert ticket. The band will continue to play across the country hitting more than 30 baseball stadiums including the Major League Baseball franchises with the Kansas City Royals (7/28), L.A. Dodgers (8/19), and Minnesota Twins (9/15).
In addition to hitting the baseball diamonds, Hawk Nelson will be partnering with Major League Baseball for a fun and creative promotion featuring the band on MLB.com, where the site receives nine million hits a day. The band will be visiting the New York headquarters for a studio performance and interview to be used throughout the baseball season.
Hawk Nelson won the hearts of fans and media nationwide since their debut release in June 2004 with “Letters to the President.” Most recently, the band premiered the music video for the radio single “Zero,” which addresses teen suicide. The single is currently at No. 21 at Christian Rock and jumped nine slots to No. 17 at CHR. Since their national debut, Hawk Nelson has appeared on NBC’s “American Dreams”, had a cameo appearance in the hit Nickelodeon film “Yours, Mine, & Ours,” where they played their original song “Bring Em Out,” as well as had their songs featured on NBC’s 2006 Stanley Cup promo spots, WB’s Smallville, Summerland, & Laguna Beach.
