Flicker Records Holds Its Own On Year-End Radio Charts
Label Ranks No. 9 for Overall Market Share
Lands at No. 2 for Rock Label Market Share

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Nov. 22, 2005-Franklin, Tenn.-based independent rock label Flicker Records is proof that small fish can cause a big splash. This year, it made its debut Top 10 appearance on Radio & Records' Christian chart for "Overall Label Market Share" as well as claiming the No. 2 position on "Rock Label Market Share."

Flicker Records charted songs on four out of five Christian radio formats, including Inspirational and Rhythmic. The label made its biggest impact, however, at Rock radio. Pillar was the most played rock artist of 2005; its song "Hypnotized" was the No. 4 Rock Song of the Year. Other frequently charting Flicker rock bands included subseven, whose song "Free to Conquer" was the No. 3 Rock Song of the Year according to Radio & Records, Kids in the Way, Everyday Sunday and Staple.

Another first for Flicker Records was its headway at Christian Adult Contemporary radio. The label fell at No. 10 for "AC Monitored Label Market Share" and at No. 8 for "AC Indicator Label Market Share" due mostly to the success of Monk & Neagle's "Dancing With the Angels," and "Secret" as well as The Swift's "I Need You." All three aforementioned songs were additionally highlighted on Christian Radio Weekly's year-end charts.

"I am more than proud of what we have accomplished overall as an indie label and especially at radio," says Troy Vest, vice president and general manager of Flicker Records. "It has been an exciting 12 months for Flicker Records, and with four new signings in 2006, I believe the best is yet to come."

Flicker Records is a wholly-owned, independent label based in Franklin, Tenn. It exists to foster the development of new artists and their respective music careers. Flicker's roster currently includes Monk & Neagle, Pillar, T-Bone, The Swift, Everyday Sunday, Kids in the Way, Staple, and subseven. In 2006, Flicker will introduce a new class of up-and-coming artists including Fireflight, eleventyseven, Until June, and Flatfoot 56.
