Day Of Fire Headlines "Reborn" Tour
(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) April 26, 2006 - GRAMMY-nominated and Dove Award winners Day of Fire (Essential Records) are hitting the road this spring with fellow rock acts Decyfer Down (S/R/E Recordings), Fighting Instinct (Gotee Records), and Red (Essential). The tour, entitled Reborn and booked by CAA and Jeff Roberts and Associates, launches April 26 and will visit 18 markets. Red and Fighting Instinct will open the show, followed by Decyfer Down, with Day of Fire closing. (Tour dates below)
Josh Brown, lead singer of Day of Fire, looks forward to hitting the road and interacting with fans. "We do this to touch people's lives where they are. We want to share what we have with those willing to listen and we are very excited about being out with Red, Fighting Instinct, and Decyfer Down in the process."
The tour supports Day of Fire's June 6 release on Essential Records of Cut & Move, the band's follow-up to their self-titled debut which won a Dove Award for Rock Album of the Year at the 36th Annual Gospel Music Awards. Cut & Move was produced by Pete Thornton with lyrics penned by Brown and music by the five-member band, collectively. Day of Fire has also received a GRAMMY nomination, played for more than 500,000 fans in the U.S. and Europe, and has been featured on both CNN and The 700 Club since the release of their first project.
Red brings a unique blend of heavy guitars, intense string arrangements and passionate vocals, deriving from a variety of influences such as Muse, Chevelle, Blindside, and Linkin Park. With more than 20,000 friends on MySpace (www.myspace.com/dropofred), this five member band has made it a priority to write each and every fan back personally. The songs on its Essential Records debut release, End of Silence, deal with the struggles that we all face, while leading listeners to a place of redemption in the midst of the brokenness. Red hopes its music impacts people in a way that causes them not to feel alone in their struggles. End of Silence will be in stores on June 6.
