Cross Culture - Proof Positive Album Review

What do you get when you mix Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alien Ant Farm, Incubus (minus DJ Kill), 311, and a dash of KC & the Sunshine Band? Give up? It's Proof Positive, the debut CD from Selectric Records band Cross Culture. This Elefante-produced mix of funk, rock, and pop (oh, yeah, with horns!) slams from start to finish. Moment in Time starts the disc off with bombast. The album is full of sonic pleasantries, hard-hitting drums, soaring vocals, and a bass line that would make Flea stand up and say "Oi." Key tracks on the album are "Moment in Time," "Swing," "Fly," and "Total Addiction." Suffice it to say, this is one cd Jason may not get back. Do yourdelf a favor and check it out!
