CALIROCKREGGAE ARTIST DOMINIC BALLI’S “LOUDER”
VIDEO TO BE FEATURED ON MTVU

Balli Graces Year-End Billboard Reggae Chart; Kicks Off 2012 with Busiest Tour Schedule To Date
(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Jan. 6, 2012-- CaliRockReggae artist Dominic Balli’s latest music video, “Louder,” will be featured on mtvU video program “The Freshmen,” beginning Jan. 16. The news comes as Balli ranks No. 13 on the Billboard year-end Reggae Albums chart with American Dream and heads into his busiest touring season to date.
Each week mtvU, MTV Networks’ Peabody and Emmy Award-winning 24-hour college network with a viewing audience of nearly nine million, selects five emerging artist videos to compete for a spot on its video program “The Freshmen.” Fans vote online for “The Freshmen 5” to determine which video makes it into the show’s rotation. Voting for “Louder” begins Monday, Jan. 16 at 11:00 am ET. To cast your vote(s), visit: www.mtvu.com/category/music/the-freshmen. “I’ve always tried to stay true to who I am as a songwriter, producer, and artist and to put out the best stuff I possibly can,” says Balli. “When we finished the ‘Louder’ music video, we all thought we had something special in our hands. The fact that mtvU is adding the song to rotation is a really nice affirmation that we’re on the right track. I’m blessed to be a part of all that is going on.”
Recognition by mtvU is just one in a succession of recent accolades for Balli, who released his national debut, American Dream, in July. The CD, well received by both critics and consumers, was among the Top 15 Reggae albums for 2011, according to Billboard. Balli will carry this momentum into the new year with a string of international appearances, including the follow up leg to his successful Brazilian tour last fall.
In addition to Brazil, Balli will visit Ghana, Africa for Ghana Fest followed by Miami’s ONE Conference with Hillsong United, and summer festivals performances at Uprise Festival, AtlantaFest, Spirit West Coast, ALIVE Festival, Ichthus Festival and Unity Music Festival, among others. Also, listen for “American Dream” at Triple A radio beginning in January.
