WHAT: GRAMMY-nominated, singer/songwriter Brandon Heath featured tonight on the “CBS Evening News with Katie Couric” in a segment on religion and Christian music. Heath interviewed earlier today with CBS about his response to a current USA TODAY feature headlined: “Most Religious Groups In USA Have Lost Ground, Survey Finds” by Cathy Grossman.

In addition to the national news broadcast, the segment will be available to all CBS affiliates, nationwide, for use in their late-evening newscasts.

Tomorrow, Brandon Heath’s hometown Nashville CBS affiliate, NewsChannel 5,WTVF-TV, will also be airing a story on Heath's benefit concert this week, “Save David’s Eyes,” on March 11, in the Nashville area. This is Brandon’s Second Annual “Love Your Neighbor” Event for his hometown community. The free concert will raise funds to save the eyesight of David, an 18-yr. old high school student, suffering from glaucoma in both eyes.
Last year, Heath’s “Love Your Neighbor” benefit raised $20,000 for Nashville tornado victims following a string of destructive storms in March.
