BEST-SELLING AUTHOR, ANGELA THOMAS MARRIES

Nashville,TN…July 31, 2008…Best-selling author and speaker, Angela Thomas announced this month, her marriage to Scott Pharr. The couple was married Saturday, June 14th at The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. Scott and Angela attended high school together in the Greensboro, NC area and their moms have been best friends for over 25 years. Both families are thrilled. Scott is the owner of Piedmont Truck Center in Greensboro, NC where the couple will reside with Angela’s four children.

“God is amazing! He has given to us what we could not have imagined was possible. Just call Scott and I the happiest two people on the planet,” remarked Thomas, who is excited to share her new husband’s name in all areas of life, outside her pen name.

Thomas graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She went on to serve as part-time youth director in her small Methodist church where she discovered her true calling as a speaker and minister to women. She received her master’s degree at Dallas Theological Seminary and pursued a life of ministry which quickly turned into writing and speaking about the roles of Christian women. Thomas has written more than 10 books for women and will reach more than 150,000 women of all ages in the year ahead through her events.

In the midst of her move to North Carolina, sale of her home in Tennessee, sending her oldest daughter off to college this fall, keeping up with the three children at home in school, and speaking as part of over 45 women’s events across the country this year, Angela is currently writing a new book she plans to release in 2009.
