New Artist Ana Laura Garners First Nomination In
Gospel Music's Pretigious Dove Awards
19-Year-Old Set To Release Her Debut Album March 7th
(Nashville, Tenn.) February 2, 2006 - Nominations were announced yesterday for the 37th Annual GMA Music Awards by the Gospel Music Association (GMA). Ana Laura, new Reunion recording artist is celebrating her first-ever nomination in Gospel music's top awards. Her nod comes for her featured performance on the opening track of the 2005 Christmas album Come Let Us Adore Him from the producers of the City On A Hill series, being recognized in the Special Event Album category.
While her debut project, Ana Laura, is set to release March 7th, her third radio single "Water" has just been released to AC and CHR formats. This marks her first appearance in the CHR format after having been a mainstay at AC and INSPO radio with her first two songs, "Because You Loved Me" and "Completely," both available on her debut project. Ana Laura was recently seen on the "The Christmas Blessing Tour" with NewSong and Anointed, as well as performing last fall on the "Girls of Grace Tour" with Point of Grace, Rebecca St. James, Mark Schultz and Jaime Jamgochian. This spring, Ana Laura will be hitting the road with David Phelps and Anthony Evans. Details are forthcoming.
The GMA Music Awards show will be presented on April 5, 2006 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. The awards show will then be televised in national syndication April 15 to May 1, 2006.
