YOUTH GOSPEL COMPETITION LAUNCHES NATIONWIDE

Los Angeles, Calif., August 30, 2005 – Church Communication Network (CCN) Entertainment, together with BarnaFilms, today announced the launch of ALL AMERICAN GOSPEL, a nationwide youth vocal competition for the faith community. The contest welcomes solo vocalists between the ages of 14 - 22 with a diverse range of musical influences from traditional hymns, to pop to rock.

Unlike any other talent competition, ALL AMERICAN GOSPEL will hold auditions in up to 10,000 local churches across the country. From over one million contestants, 12 finalists will eventually be chosen by fans who can vote either online or by phone. The 12 finalists will participate in a series of six elimination rounds broadcast into churches around the country. Church audiences will be able to cheer for their favorites as they watch the performances via satellite. Explaining the underlying value of ALL AMERICAN GOSPEL George Barna, Directing Leader of The Barna Group stated, “Whether they participate as a vocalist or viewer, All American Gospel offers young people across the country a unique opportunity to reflect upon and express their faith, and to share the adventure with their peers.”

The final round will determine the ALL AMERICAN GOSPEL winner, who will receive a recording contract with Doxology Records, distributed by Word/WEA.

“ALL AMERICAN GOSPEL presents budding Christian artists the opportunity to showcase their talent,” says Thom Black, Director of BarnaFilms. “While ALL AMERICAN GOSPEL is sure to entertain viewers of all ages, we’re thrilled that it will help bring our youths – especially – back to church, where they can watch together and choose the next great voice in Christian music.”
