Adie Is Stealing The Heart Of Listeners With Her Solo Debut
NASHVILLE, TN...November 6, 2006...Once the queen of Christian rock with band The Benjamin Gate, Adie Camp has now moved into a new royal court with her solo debut Don’t Wait, which released earlier this fall on BEC Recordings. Adie is currently on tour with husband Jeremy Camp and the energetic group Hawk Nelson, which has been highly received across the nation with sold out dates.
Don’t Wait is a stylistic departure from the aggressive rock roots in The Benjamin Gate. Adie’s expressive voice on Don’t Wait makes it an unique and compelling offering for listeners. Her solo debut is also seasoned with more introspective lyrics that stem from her duel roles as wife and mother of two little girls.
“I'm excited to be able to share a whole new chapter of things that have taken place—being married to a strong, godly husband, having two sweet little girls and everything the Lord has done in my life and all that he continues to do with the people I play for,” shares Adie of her debut and performing on tour.
Being captivated by her unique voice and sweet nature, the media have come on board cheering on Adie and Don’t Wait. See below for a sampling of what is being said:
“Get ready world, here she comes! With lyrical depth that encourages and uplifts, this album is sure to be a hit.” --MomSense
“In stark contrast to her wilder musical days as frontwoman for Christian alt-rock outfit The Benjamin Gate, Adie (aka Adrienne Camp, née Liesching) is embracing her softer side on Don’t Wait. But don’t mistake “softer” for soft. Adie’s voice evokes all the passion and intensity it did before.” --Christian Music Planet
In the “Vanities” section of the October issue of Vanity Fair, it touts Adie as the “Christian Sarah McLachlan”
“Some of the year’s finest pop music.” --AllMusicGuide.com
“Adie effectively (and intentionally, I think) breaks the mold of expectations in favor of staking out her own territory – and I must say, a pretty lush territory it is. This is pure, unadulterated, radio-ready, Top 40 pop-rock that should instantly launch Adie...” --Buddyhollywood.com
“Those seeking to dive into something deep and peaceful will be quite pleased.” --Stars & Stripes Military Paper
“Don’t Wait finds Adie in a more introspective place lyrically than with previous efforts...a fresh perspective on human weakness and divine grace that Adie so beautifully articulates on tracks like “Don’t’ Wait,” “Sufficient,” and “What Have I Done?” --Aspiring Retail
WeSpreadTheWord.net would have been glad to review this album but were not a review copy, still Adie is a sweet woman and her should be enjoyed by all.
