Building upon the success of films such as Blue Collar Comedy Tour and The Original Kings of Comedy and the ever increasing need for wholesome entertainment that the entire family can enjoy, these Christian comedians provide carefully and cleverly crafted comedy that brings honest and heart-filled laughter without shame or guilt.
“For years, there has been a growing disconnect between the sensibilities of a large segment of the U.S. and the majority of films and television we see today,” says Mitchell Galin, Executive Producer. “Apostles of Comedy fulfills this growing need in which the whole family can enjoy a show together. These comedians express their faith by making people laugh,” explains Galin. While Apostles of Comedy may be imbued with faith and inspiration, it never loses its edge, which makes it relevant to today’s audience. According to recent figures, the potential Christian audience accounts for approximately 35% of the U.S. population.
