The Marion County Republican Party has reorganized . The party has new officers Chairman Travis Layne, Vice Chairman Betty Jane Sahud, Secretary Roy Curtis and Treasurer Chris Ables. We were organized in 1949 as the Fifth District Federated Republican Women's Club. In January 1974, the name was changed to Nashville Federated Republican Women's Club, and in 1980, the National Federation of Republican Women, of which we are a part, mandated that all clubs drop "Federated" from their name and we became Nashville Republican Women. We have been continuously active since 1949.
